IF OUT OF STOCK

What does it means?

SHOW PRODUCT - ALLOW PURCHASE

Choose this option if you can manage the orders even if they are out of stock (e.g if you can restock the products fairly easily). When this option is enabled, even if the product is out of stock, the clients are still able to visualise the product on the catalogue and purchase it.

SHOW PRODUCT - DON’T ALLOW PURCHASE

Choose this option if you still want to display your products but don’t want your clients to buy them when they’re not in stock. Therefore, when this option is enabled, when the product is out of stock, the clients can still visualise it in the products catalogue but won’t be able to purchase it.

DON’T SHOW

Choose this option if you don’t want to have the products shown when they are out of stock. When this option is enabled, when the product is out of stock, the clients won’t visualise the product in the catalogue and thus they cannot purchase it.

IF OUT OF STOCK DURING MOMENT OF PURCHASE

It may be that a product is in stock.
Let’s say, 10 items are in stock; in this case, the product will be displayed and available for purchase. However, a client tries to add to their cart 15 items of that product - what happens then? Depends on the Out of Stock Behaviour set before.

What does it means?

SHOW PRODUCT - ALLOW PURCHASE

The customer would be able to successfully purchase the 15 items and you'd be left with a negative stock of 5 items.

SHOW PRODUCT - DON’T ALLOW PURCHASE

The customer wouldn’t be able to purchase the 15 items and his/her cart will automatically be updated with the maximum number of items available to purchase; 10 items in this case. The checkout will display the following message: You have selected one or more items that have limited available stock. The quantities in your shopping cart have therefore been automatically updated with the maximum number of each product currently available for purchase.

IF OUT OF STOCK DELIVERY TIME

What does it means?

DON’T SHOW

If the product is out of stock, you should choose this option if you don’t want any delivery time to be shown.

ANOTHER SHIPPING INTERVAL

If the product is out of stock but you still want to display a delivery time, you can choose the appropriate shipping interval from the dropdown menu. This shipping interval can be defined in the same place as the delivery option.
